The Challenge
The client, a Photography Technology (SaaS) company, needed to move its entire web presence off WordPress and onto HubSpot CMS - including 9 website pages and a blog archive of 150+ articles - without losing the search rankings that the archive had built up over time. At the same time, their marketing automation needed to move off Mailchimp and onto HubSpot, so email, lists, and lifecycle automation could run on the same platform as the CRM and CMS.
The two constraints that shaped the whole project: a hard one-month timeline, and zero tolerance for SEO loss. A migration this size done carelessly is one of the fastest ways to tank organic traffic - broken URLs, lost metadata, and unmapped redirects compound quickly across 150+ posts.
Our Solution
We followed a structured design-to-development process to ensure the final website matched the client's goals and brand positioning:
- Content & URL Audit
Conducted competitor research to understand industry trends, identify differentiation opportunities, and gather inspiration for the site's visual direction and user experience.Catalogued every existing WordPress page and blog post - 9 pages and 150+ articles - along with their current URLs, meta titles, meta descriptions, and existing organic rankings, to establish a full baseline before touching anything.
- HubSpot CMS Build-OutRebuilt the site structure in HubSpot CMS, replicating page templates and blog architecture so content could migrate into an equivalent (or improved) structure rather than a flattened one.
- Bulk Content MigrationMigrated all 9 pages and 150+ blog articles into HubSpot, preserving content, formatting, images, and metadata (titles, descriptions, alt text) article by article to avoid the SEO drop that comes from lost on-page signals.
- 301 Redirect MappingMapped 30+ URL redirects from old WordPress paths to their new HubSpot equivalents, so existing backlinks and search rankings carried over instead of hitting dead ends.
- HubSpot Marketing Hub ImplementationSet up HubSpot Marketing Hub as the new home for email, forms, lists, and campaign reporting, configuring the necessary tools before rebuilding automation logic on top of it.
- Marketing Automation MigrationRebuilt the client's email lists, campaigns, and automation logic from Mailchimp inside HubSpot - consolidating email marketing onto the same platform as the newly migrated CMS and CRM.
- QA & SEO VerificationVerified redirects, checked indexation, and confirmed metadata and rankings held steady post-launch - closing the loop on the zero-SEO-loss requirement.
