In HubSpot, how can I set up subdomains?
In the navigation bar’s upper right corner, click the cog icon. After clicking, locate Domain & URLs on the right-hand side of the menu by scrolling down.
You must configure a redirect in your DNS provider from the root domain of your website to the subdomain if you are hosting your entire website on HubSpot. You must contact HubSpot for additional support if your DNS provider does not permit 301 redirects.

Tying a domain together
The HubSpot portal’s domain and URL component can be found there. In the navigation bar’s upper right corner, click the cog icon. After clicking, locate Domain & URLs on the right-hand side of the menu by scrolling down.
Click the connect a domain button in bright red once you are on the domain & URLs page. After that, you will be asked to select the sort of domain you want to create. You must choose the type of content you want when you connect. These are your choices for content:
- Website
- Touchdown page
- Blog
On the domain to host. Enter your domain into the text field after choosing the content type. Instead of a subdomain, this domain is the root domain. following the root domain entry.
The URL must then be confirmed. A domain is made up of 4 primary parts.
The subdomain is the root of the domain. Suppose a URL was “go.mywebsite.com,” for instance. There would be a “go” subdomain.
The brand domain sits in between the top-level domain and the subdomain. For instance, the brand domain would be “my website” if a URL was “go.mywebsite.com”. You must configure your brand domain if this is the first domain you’ve connected to your HubSpot portal.
To create a domain for your brand. Scroll down to the advanced options on the Domain & URLs page. There is a brand domain section within this article. Click add brand domain when you get there.
Top-level domain: Following the brand domain is the top-level domain. Suppose a URL was “go.mywebsite.com,” for instance. There would be a “.com” top-level domain.
Click next after adding the sub-domain.
You’ll now be taken to the hosting setup. It is crucial that you have access to your DNS provider at this point.
Click update my CNAME if you’re using GoDaddy. The login page for your GoDaddy account will be displayed. By doing this, HubSpot will be able to access your GoDaddy account and instantly change the domain’s CNAME record. There will be a few more manual procedures to do if you are linking your entire site.
You’ll need to confirm that your content is ready to go live. Select I’m ready by checking the box. If your domain has SSL and is presently hosted somewhere else, you will get a notice requesting ownership verification. This will minimize website downtime and pre-provision SSL for the domain within HubSpot.
After that, you must log into your DNS provider. Click I am logged in on HubSpot once you’ve completed your login.In the DNS service lender’s menu bar. the DNS > DNS Settings page. Click I’m there on HubSpot after locating the DNS settings.
The value is then copied into the value column. In the Value/Points To/Target area for the CNAME record of the subdomain you’re linking, return to your DNS provider account and paste the value there. In HubSpot, after entering the CNAME value, click Done.
Double-check your DNS adjustments, then click Done. You might need to wait a little while before clicking check them again if you receive a “Waiting on DNS update” problem.
Processing DNS updates can take some time. Most of the time, DNS updates take a few minutes to propagate, but depending on your DNS provider, it can take longer. Check to see whether your DNS has been configured correctly if it has been more than an hour and you are still seeing an error.
After your domain has been provisioned, SSL will be turned on immediately. This often takes a short while, but it could take up to four hours.
